Our Task Consists of Only Executing' - How Sudan's Brutal Militia Perpetrated a Mass Killing

Combatants laugh as they ride on the rear of a transport truck, hurrying by a series of nine lifeless forms and driving in the direction of the descending Sudanese evening sky.
"See all this accomplishment. See this instance of mass destruction," one shouts.
The fighter grins as he points the video equipment on his person and his fellow combatants, their paramilitary insignia on display: "They will all perish in this manner."
These individuals are celebrating a mass killing that humanitarian officials fear resulted in the deaths of more than 2,000 individuals in the Sudanese urban center of the Darfur city in recent weeks.
An Urban Center Cut Off from the World
Following their control of the community under siege for nearly 24 months, from the summer the RSF proceeded to consolidate its control and blockade the leftover inhabitants.
Space-based imagery reveal that forces began to erect a enormous earth barrier - a built-up earthen wall - encircling the perimeter of el-Fasher, closing access routes and halting relief supplies.
As the siege escalated, multiple civilians were murdered in an militia strike on a religious building on 19 September, while the international organization stated dozens further were murdered in unmanned aircraft and artillery strikes on a displacement camp in October.
Disturbing Video Reveals Weaponless Civilians Gunned Down
At dawn on October 26th the paramilitary force overwhelmed the final government strongholds and captured the primary compound in the urban area, the headquarters of the Army Division, as the military pulled back.
One of the most disturbing footage to surface and studied showed the consequences of a massacre at a university building on the western side of the urban area, where scores lifeless forms were seen scattered across the area.
An elderly person wearing a robe sat alone surrounded by the bodies. The individual rotated to look as a combatant equipped with a rifle moved along the stairs facing him. pointing his rifle, the fighter fired a one bullet at the individual, who fell to the ground still.
"For what reason is this individual still alive," a militiaman cried. "Execute him."
Orbital photography recorded on late October seemed to verify that shootings were furthermore performed on the roads of the city, as reported by a report published by the academic research center.
One observer who provided testimony reported the individual had observed "multiple of our relatives getting killed - the victims were collected in one place and everyone murdered."
Militia Officers Try to Conduct Public Relations
During the period that followed the massacre, paramilitary chief acknowledged that his fighters had committed "violations" and announced the events would be investigated.
Part of the arrested was subsequent to a investigation documenting his killings. Meticulously choreographed and edited video shared on the RSF's authorized Telegram channel show him being led into a prison room at a prison on the perimeter of el-Fasher.
Meanwhile, the RSF and affiliated social media channels began attempting to reframe the narrative.
Posts depicting its combatants handing out aid to residents were disseminated by various users, while the paramilitary's media office shared numerous videos claiming to show the proper management of army captives.
Despite the social media effort being employed by the paramilitary, their actions in the city have generated worldwide anger.
