Mohamed Salah Extends Regret to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players following the uproar from his recent interview.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a key Champions League match after voicing frustrations and claiming his connection to the head coach had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I'm sorry.’”
Arne Slot has chosen not to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the player.

Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” he continued.
He also implied that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I understand there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
On-Field Response
Liverpool's form have remained strong in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not designed to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and securing victories.”
