Passionate fans of the pop star are calling for that a individual who jumped a barrier and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was due to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it started.

The film, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two contrasting sorceresses.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of last year in the UK, and received ten Oscar nominations, securing two for best costume and set decoration.
