A Second-Half Capitulation Sees Old Firm Disaster

Nancy’s Persistent Belief

Nancy remains focused on the fact his team play well for a half at a time. Indeed, but for missed chances they would have been greater than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit other than the fact that we didn't take more goals,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but it's important to stay objective.

“The performance we had at stages was really, really, really high. This is the reality. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was different. But that’s why, when it comes to wins, I mentioned we've seen this before. Which is why I said that we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. Right now: the fine margins.”

“There were many, many good things that we did, like today again. The issue now it’s about sustaining it. My outlook would change if it was not the case. Therefore I am a big believer we’re going to be able to turn things around.”

Opposition Reaction Stance

Rangers manager played down talk of a title charge even after what appeared to be a huge result. “One match at a time, so we can really build up something here,” he said. “The faith in the squad is outstanding.”
